MSI Gold Particle Size Distribution Testing consists of grinding and screening a large composite sample (e.g., 500 Kg) and studying how much gold is liberated for a given size of comminution.  Indispensable for sampling and processing issues, these tests require a high level of mineral processing  skills, are time consuming, and are essential for all mining companies.  Tests identify correct ways to sample and process ore.  The test is a valuable preliminary source of information for the geologist, the statistician, the chemist, and especially the metallurgist.  the test applies to gold particles, but also to gold bearing mineral particles, along various states of comminution.  The test can provide a springboard for a meaningful mineralogical investigation of the ore.

Key Benefits

bulletValuable information for the mineral processing engineer
bulletValuable information about sampling characteristics

Capabilities

MSI uses the latest, most technologically advanced sampling equipment available and follows the proven FPSC Heterogeneity Test to calculate sampling nomographs and optimize sampling protocols.  MSI is equipped to perform microscopic observations to prepare relevant fractions that will be used by renowned mineralogists selected by FPSC.

MSI offers advice on how to collect a representative composite sample to perform a Heterogeneity Test. The FPSC comprehensive report includes nomographs with recommended sampling and analytical protocols.

Heterogeneity Tests are not routine tests; they cannot be properly completed by a routine production laboratory.  MSI Heterogeneity Tests are completed with the constant assistance of FPSC expertise as the test progresses.  This assistance ensures that MSI's tests will provide full benefit to the client.
